Improving Life with a Little Black Duck Wisdom: Presentation by Author and Speaker, Maggie Dent.
Maggie is the author of a quirky little book called "Black Duck Wisdom", which has become a bestseller for its ability to remind readers that the most precious parts of life are often hiding under our darkest moments.
Maggie recently wrote in her blog "humans are biologically wired to live in relationships, in family networks within communities. We are quite simply –social beings. Unlike any other species we are capable of intimacy – but this capacity requires us to learn (preferably early in life) the codes of cooperative living. We need to develop emotional, social and spiritual competence so that we can form and sustain healthy relationships." (Maggie Dent, 2016).
In this presentation, Maggie will draw on the book to unravel some key wisdom's learnt from ducks that will resonate with everyone. This is a light, insightful and deceptively powerful way to learn how to build your resilience BEFORE life knocks you flat. This seminar is for everyone, including parents, teachers, health professionals and family consultants and counselors.
This is a fundraising event; proceeds will be donated to Living Child inc, a Not-for-Profit, Non-Government Charity that aims to reduce the maternal and infant death rate in remote villages of Papua New Guinea by providing training, visual teaching aids and birthing kits to Midwives and Village Birth Attendants.

"Ducks live for the moment. When they are hungry, they eat. When they feel tired, they sleep. When they feel like paddling, they paddle. When the weather gets too cold for them, they migrate to where it is warmer. Simple". Maggie Dent, Black Duck Wisdom
